The P5200 series is a high-voltage differential probe product launched by Tektronix. It has a bandwidth of up to 100MHz and supports differential voltage measurement up to 5600V and common voltage measurement up to 2200V.
The data sheet describes Tektronix’s high‑voltage differential probes, which enable safe measurement of floating circuits with grounded oscilloscopes. It lists the three models (P5200, P5205, P5210), their key features such as bandwidth, voltage ranges, switchable attenuation, and safety certifications.
Technical specifications for each model are presented in tabular form, along with ordering information, optional power plugs, and contact details for global sales and support. The document also notes compatible Tektronix oscilloscopes and safety warnings for use with floating‑input instruments.
| Bandwidth (-3 dB) | P5200: 25 MHz, P5205: 100 MHz, P5210: 50 MHz |
|---|---|
| Differential Mode Voltage (Peak) | P5200: 1000 V, P5205: 1300 V, P5210: 5600 V |
| Common Mode Voltage (RMS or DC + pk AC) | P5200: 1000 V CAT II, P5205: 1000 V CAT II, P5210: 2200 V CAT III |
| Attenuation (switchable) | P5200/P5205: 50X/500X, P5210: 100X/1000X |
| Input Resistance (each input) | P5200/P5205: 4 MΩ, P5210: 8 MΩ |
| Input Capacitance (each input) | 7 pF for all models |
The P5210 can measure floating voltages up to 5,600 V (DC + pk AC).
Oscilloscopes with floating (isolated) inputs, such as the Tektronix TPS2000 Series and THS700 Series, must not be used with the P5200.
The P5205 has a bandwidth of 100 MHz.
The probes meet UL3111‑1, CSA1010.1, CSA1010.2.031, IEC‑61010‑2‑031 safety standards.
