The DTR502B Radiation Shield is a naturally ventilated maintenance-free 9 plate radiation shield that protects temperature and humidity measurements from scattered and direct solar radiation as well as rain. The plates of the radiation shield are made from specially designed plastic material that offers excellent thermal characteristics and UV stabilized construction. The outer surface is white to reflect radiation while the inside is black to absorb accumulated heat. This leads to less disturbed humidity and temperature measurements due to radiation effects. The DTR502B Radiation Shield is easy to install and suitable for a wide range of applications. The shield can be installed on a vertical pole, horizontal beam, or flat surface such as a wall.
