CO2 - Module Serie GMM220 M010115DE-D is a versatile module used for measuring CO2 content in industrial applications. The module uses a CO2 sensor CARBOCAP® based on a silicon microsystem, which operates on the NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared) measurement principle and is designed as a single-beam/dual-frequency system. The modules can be configured for a range of different measurement ranges and analog output signals.
The GMM220 series are CO measurement modules that use a silicon‑microsystem sensor based on the NDIR principle. The module consists of a PCB, a connector cable and a CO probe (GMP221 for higher, GMP222 for lower concentration ranges). It includes a non‑volatile memory for calibration parameters, allowing easy field calibration.
The manual describes mechanical dimensions, mounting options, electrical connections (12 V or 24 V supply, analog voltage/current outputs, TTL serial interface), LED status indicators, command set for displaying CO concentration, pressure and temperature compensation, and provides full technical data such as measurement range, accuracy, power consumption and environmental limits. This manual is written in German.
| Supply voltage | 12 V (11–20 VDC) or 24 V (18–30 VDC) |
|---|---|
| Typical current consumption | 100 mA (max. 20 mA output) |
| Analog output voltage | 0–1 V (optional 2 V, 2.3 V, 5 V) |
| Analog output current | 4–20 mA (optional 0–20 mA) |
| Serial interface level | TTL (3 V) |
| Operating temperature range | -20 °C … 60 °C |
| Storage temperature range | -30 °C … 70 °C |
| Power consumption | <2.5 W |
| Warm‑up time | <5 min |
| Weight (GMM221 with 2 m cable) | max. 180 g |
In normal operation the red LED is off and the green LED blinks continuously; if both LEDs blink, the module is in error state and no analog signal is output.
Send the command `DISP 2` followed by carriage return; the module replies with the CO concentration in ppm.
Use the `ME_MODE` command with option 4 for continuous output in ppm (or 2 for %); set option 0 to stop the continuous output.
