This product is a photocoupler, consisting of an infrared emitting diode and photo-triac.
The TLP3021F(S), TLP3022F(S) and TLP3023F(S) are GaAs infrared emitting diode (IRED) optocouplers that integrate a phototriac in a six‑lead DIP package. They are intended for general electronics applications such as computers, office equipment, measuring equipment, industrial robotics and domestic appliances.
The devices are UL, SEMKO, BSI and VDE approved, but Toshiba restricts their use in safety‑critical or high‑reliability equipment (e.g., medical, aerospace, traffic control). Users must follow the handling guide and applicable regulations when designing with these components.
