This document describes the features of the LM124-LM224-LM324 series of low power quad operational amplifiers. These features include wide gain bandwidth, input common-mode voltage range including ground, large voltage gain, very low supply current per amplifier, low input bias current, and low input offset voltage, etc.
The LM124, LM224 and LM324 are low‑power quad operational amplifiers with a wide gain bandwidth of 1.3 MHz, low supply current (375 µA per amplifier) and input offset voltage as low as 5 mV. They operate from a single supply of +3 V to +30 V or dual supplies, and their input common‑mode range includes ground.
The devices are offered in DIP‑14, SO‑14 and TSSOP‑14 packages. The datasheet lists absolute maximum ratings, detailed electrical characteristics, typical single‑supply applications, macromodels and package information, along with a revision history.
| Gain bandwidth | 1.3 MHz |
|---|---|
| Supply current per amplifier | 375 µA |
| Input offset voltage | 5 mV max |
| Input bias current | 20 nA |
| Power supply range (single) | +3 V to +30 V |
| Maximum supply voltage (VEE) | +16 V or +32 V |
| Output short‑circuit duration | Infinite |
The devices can tolerate a supply voltage of +16 V or +32 V.
Each amplifier draws about 375 µA of supply current.
The gain‑bandwidth product is 1.3 MHz.
