About this manual

The AD8310 is a complete, fast‑acting voltage‑output logarithmic amplifier that provides a 95 dB dynamic range from –91 dBV to +4 dBV. It operates from a single supply of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, draws only 8 mA quiescent current, and can source up to 25 mA into a grounded load in less than 15 ns.

Typical applications include conversion of signal level to decibel form, transmitter antenna power measurement, receiver signal strength indication, low‑cost radar and sonar processing, and spectrum analyzer front‑ends. The device is supplied in an 8‑lead MSOP package and is rated for –40 °C to +85 °C industrial temperature range.
