About this manual

The ADM202E and ADM1181A are high‑speed, two‑channel RS‑232/V.28 interface devices that operate from a single +5 V supply. They meet EU EMC directives, provide low EMI emissions, and include extensive ESD (up to +15 kV) and EFT protection, making them suitable for harsh electrical environments and portable instruments.

Technical specifications include an operating voltage range of 4.5‑5.5 V, typical supply current of 2‑3 mA, maximum data rate of 230 kbps, and various package options (DIP, narrow/wide SO, TSSOP). The devices also feature internal pull‑down resistors, charge‑pump voltage conversion, and compliance with EIA‑232R and CCITT V.28 standards.
