ADV7188 is a multi-format SDTV video decoder with fast switch overlay support from Analog Devices.
The ADV7188 is a single‑chip multiformat video decoder that automatically detects and converts NTSC, PAL, and SECAM standards from composite, S‑Video, and component inputs into digital ITU‑R BT.656 4:2:2 output. It supports up to 12 analog video input channels and includes adaptive digital line length tracking, comb filtering, and macrovision detection, making it suitable for DVD recorders, set‑top boxes, surveillance cameras, and professional video equipment.
The datasheet provides detailed electrical, video, timing, analog, and thermal specifications, as well as pin configurations, register maps, and programming examples. Supply requirements are 3.3 V analog and 1.8 V digital core, with an operating temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C and an 80‑lead LQFP package.
