About this manual

The X9401 is a highly integrated microcircuit that incorporates four digitally controlled potentiometers (XDCP) on a single CMOS die. Each potentiometer provides 64 taps and is accessed via a standard SPI serial interface, allowing the wiper position to be set and stored in non‑volatile memory.

Key features include non‑volatile storage of wiper position, four 6‑bit data registers per pot, 16 bytes of EEPROM, low standby current (< 1 pA), operating current < 400 µA, and a 24‑lead SOIC package. The device supports both three‑terminal potentiometer and two‑terminal variable resistor configurations for a wide range of control and signal‑processing applications.
