About this manual

The X9317 digitally controlled potentiometer (XDCP™) provides a resistor array of 99 elements and a 3‑wire interface (CS, U/D, INC) to set the wiper position. The wiper can be used as a three‑terminal potentiometer for voltage control or as a two‑terminal variable resistor for current control, and its position can be stored in non‑volatile memory for recall on power‑up.

Key features include 100 wiper tap points, temperature‑compensated resistance, low standby current (<1 pA), and high reliability with 100 k data changes per bit and 100‑year data retention. The device is offered in 8‑lead SOIC, PDIP, TSSOP and MSOP packages and operates from 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply voltage.
