Press the LIFT TO OPEN button to open the CD door.
Insert a disc, check that it is not upside down, wait for any condensation to clear, and clean or replace the disc if necessary.
Use a cotton bud slightly moistened with alcohol to clean the rubber rollers, magnetic heads and capstans, then run a cleaning cassette once.
