This document describes the features and characteristics of the HD Audio SoundMAX® Codec AD1983 Rev. 0, including DAC channels, ADC channels, sample rates, dynamic range, etc.
The AD1983 is an HD Audio SoundMAX® codec featuring two DAC channels (16‑, 20‑, or 24‑bit) and two ADC channels (16‑ or 20‑bit), supporting a wide range of audio sample rates and dynamic range greater than 90 dB. It includes integrated headphone amplifiers, selectable microphone inputs, and GPIOs for external control.
This datasheet outlines the device’s features, functional block diagram, pin configuration, electrical specifications, power supply requirements, absolute maximum ratings, and ordering information. It also provides test conditions, jack presence detection details, and mechanical dimensions for the 32‑lead LFCSP_VQ package.
