ADV7180 is a 10-bit, 4× oversampling SDTV video decoder produced by Analog Devices
The ADV7180 video decoder automatically detects and converts standard analog baseband television signals (NTSC, PAL, SECAM) from composite, S‑video, or component sources into a digital 8‑bit ITU‑R BT.656 4:2:2 output. It features a single high‑speed 10‑bit ADC, on‑chip antialiasing filters, and a versatile digital interface that connects directly to MPEG encoders, codecs, and video ASICs.
Key features include 4× oversampling for CVBS, 2× for Y/C and YPrPb modes, adaptive digital line‑length tracking, macrovision detection, VBI data slicer with teletext support, four general‑purpose outputs, and low‑power modes. The device is offered in a 40‑lead LFCSP or 64‑lead LQFP package and is used in applications such as digital camcorders, set‑top boxes, automotive infotainment, and video capture cards.
