This document provides the user manual for Peavey KB4/KB5 Keyboard Amplifier, including important operating and maintenance instructions, as well as the features and characteristics of the product.
This manual begins with safety warnings and basic installation advice, stressing the risk of electric shock, proper grounding, and keeping the unit away from moisture. It also explains how to connect the power cord, select the correct AC voltage, and use the IEC power connector safely.
The remainder of the guide details the front‑panel controls, input and output jacks, the DDT speaker‑protection switch, and the pre‑amp and power‑amp specifications. It includes wiring diagrams, level‑setting procedures, and recommended headphone‑use practices to ensure reliable performance and protect both the equipment and the user.

Connect the line cord to an appropriately rated receptacle, use the IEC power connector, and never break off the ground pin.
The DDT switch activates Peavey’s Distortion Detection Technique, which compresses the signal when overload is detected to protect the speakers from clipping and damage.
Turn the master level knob fully counter‑clockwise (down) before turning the power on.
Use the headphone jack on the rear panel, turn the dial fully counter‑clockwise before inserting headphones, then increase clockwise to a comfortable listening level.
