About this manual

The AD532 is the first pre‑trimmed single‑chip monolithic multiplier/divider. It guarantees a maximum multiplying error of +1 % and provides four‑quadrant operation with differential X and Y inputs, eliminating the need for external trimming networks. The device offers high‑impedance inputs, true ratiometric trimming for improved power‑supply rejection, and built‑in offset adjustment.

The IC is available in TO‑116 (D‑14) DIP, TO‑100 (H‑10A) metal‑can and LCC (E‑20A) packages, with J, K and S grade chips. Typical specifications include a 1 MHz small‑signal bandwidth, ±10 V output swing, and a quiescent supply current of 4 mA. Applications include algebraic computation, instrumentation, and signal processing functions such as multiplication, division, squaring and square‑rooting.
