The AD9238 is a dual, 3 V, 12-bit, 20 MSPS/40 MSPS/65 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It features dual high performance sample-and-hold amplifiers (SH...)
The AD9238 is a dual, 3 V, 12‑bit analog‑to‑digital converter from Analog Devices. It supports sample rates of 20 MSPS, 40 MSPS and 65 MSPS, provides differential inputs with selectable 1 V p‑p or 2 V p‑p ranges, and delivers high performance metrics such as 70 dB SNR and 80.5 dBc SFDR at 65 MSPS.
The device is available in 64‑lead LQFP or LFCSP packages, operates over an industrial temperature range (‑45 °C to +85 °C), and consumes as little as 180 mW at 20 MSPS. Detailed specifications, pin configurations, timing diagrams and evaluation‑board information are included in the document.
| Resolution | 12 bits |
|---|---|
| Maximum Sample Rate | 65 MSPS |
| Power Consumption (65 MSPS) | 600 mW |
| Operating Temperature Range | -45 °C to +85 °C |
| Supply Voltage (AVDD) | 2.7 V to 3.6 V |
The device can operate at up to 65 MSPS, with lower options of 40 MSPS and 20 MSPS.
At 20 MSPS the AD9238 consumes about 180 mW, at 40 MSPS about 330 mW, and at 65 MSPS about 600 mW.
It is specified for industrial temperatures from –45 °C up to +85 °C.
