This document provides an overview of the AD6600 mixed-signal receiver chip, including its features and characteristics, applications, etc.
The AD6600 mixed‑signal receiver chip samples analog inputs up to 250 MHz and provides two independent IF channels with automatic gain‑ranging. It integrates a 450 MHz track‑and‑hold, an 11‑bit, 20 MSPS ADC, digital RSSI outputs, an A/B channel indicator, and a 2× clock output, all in a single 44‑lead LQFP package.
Designed for communications receivers such as PCS/cellular base stations, GSM, CDMA, and wireless local loop, the device can be used as a stand‑alone sampler or paired with the AD6620 digital receive‑signal processor. It operates from a single 5 V supply with optional 3.3 V digital rails and meets industrial temperature specifications (‑40 °C to +85 °C).
| Analog Input 3 dB Bandwidth | 450 MHz |
|---|---|
| ADC Resolution | 11 bits |
| Maximum Conversion Rate | 20 MSPS |
| AVCC Supply Voltage | 4.75 V – 5.25 V |
| Power Consumption | 715 – 976 mW |
The AD6600 can sample up to 20 MSPS on a single carrier in single‑channel mode.
It operates from a 5 V AVCC (4.75 V – 5.25 V) and a DVCC of either 3.3 V or 5 V.
The analog input 3 dB bandwidth is 450 MHz.
The device provides 11‑bit resolution.
