About this manual

The AD7942 is a 14‑bit charge‑redistribution successive‑approximation ADC that operates from a single supply of 2.3 V to 5.5 V. It offers 250 kSPS throughput, no missing codes, and a versatile SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE digital interface with optional daisy‑chain and busy indicator. The device includes a low‑noise, wide‑bandwidth track‑and‑hold circuit and operates from –40 °C to +85 °C.

The ADC is available in 10‑lead MSOP and 10‑lead QFN (LFCSP) packages that fit the same footprint as an 8‑lead MSOP. The datasheet provides detailed pin descriptions, absolute maximum ratings, timing specifications, and layout recommendations to minimize digital‑to‑analog coupling. Ordering information and an evaluation board (EVAL‑AD7942CBZ) are also included.
