About this manual

The AD7997/AD7998 family provides eight single‑ended analog inputs with 10‑ or 12‑bit resolution and a fast 2 µs typical conversion time. They operate from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, consume as little as 1 pA in shutdown, and support standard, fast, and high‑speed I²C‑compatible serial interfaces with pin‑selectable addresses.

The devices include programmable registers for limits, alerts, hysteresis, and cycle timing, and they offer features such as automatic shutdown, out‑of‑range indicator, and selectable conversion modes. Both parts are supplied in a 20‑lead TSSOP package and are qualified for –40 °C to +85 °C operation.
