This manual describes how to install and configure the CC-Link option card on Altivar 61/71 drives to communicate using the CC-Link bus.
The manual introduces the CC‑Link option card for Altivar 61 and Altivar 71 drives, outlining safety warnings, required qualifications, and general information before beginning any work. It emphasizes the need to disconnect power, lock the disconnect, and wait for capacitor discharge before servicing.
Detailed sections cover hardware setup, mounting the option card, setting station numbers and baud rates, connecting to the CC‑Link bus, configuring parameters, diagnostics, and PLC operation. The document also references related installation, programming, and communication‑parameter manuals for further guidance.
| Option card model | VW3A3317 |
|---|---|
| Supported Altivar 61 firmware | V1.4 and above |
| Supported Altivar 71 firmware | V1.6 and above |
| Station number and baud rate setting | Defined by DIP‑switches |
All power must be disconnected, the disconnect locked in the open position, and a 15‑minute wait applied to allow DC bus capacitors to discharge before any work.
The option card is fully supported with Altivar 61 firmware V1.4 and above, and with Altivar 71 firmware V1.6 and above.
On older firmware versions the station number and baud rate are set via DIP‑switches and are not displayed in the communication menu.
