This document describes a high-precision Li+ battery monitor with multiple protection functions, including overvoltage protection, overcurrent/short circuit protection, undervoltage protection, and zero volt battery recovery charge. It is available in two configurations: internal or external sense resistor. It features a 12-bit bidirectional current measurement with a resolution of 0.625mA LSB and a dynamic range of ±1.9A, as well as a voltage measurement with a resolution of 4.88mV. It also includes temperature measurement, system power management and control feature support, lockable EEPROM, and general purpose SRAM.
