The DS1836 MicroManager is a power management chip launched by Microchip. It can provide 5V or 3.3V power-on reset and switch to battery power at 3.8V (2.6V for 3.3V versions). It can also force reset during power transients and maintain reset for 350ms after VCC returns to an in-tolerance condition. The DS1836 uses a precision temperature-compensated voltage reference and voltage sensor, with 8-pin DIP and 8-pin SO surface mount packages. It is perfect for PIC microprocessor applications.
