SMSC TMC2072 is a low power CMOS peripheral mode CircLink™ controller, supporting 8/16-bit data bus, with 1K on-chip dual port buffer memory, enhanced token passing protocol, support for up to 31 nodes, memory mirror, network standard time synchronization, and automatic time stamping, etc.
The TMC2072 is a low‑power CMOS networking controller that operates from a 3.3 V supply with 5 V‑tolerant I/O. It supports both 8‑bit and 16‑bit data buses, includes a 1 KB dual‑port buffer memory, and can connect up to 31 nodes in a CircLink network with packet sizes up to 256 bytes. The device is offered in a 100‑pin TQFP, lead‑free RoHS‑compliant package and works over a temperature range of 0 °C to 70 °C.
The datasheet contains a general description, functional description, detailed register map, pin configuration tables, and appendices covering the CMI modem, crystal oscillator circuit, package outline, marking specifications, and electrical characteristics. Ordering information, package parameters, and comparative tables with related parts are also provided.
