Common causes
- Data associated with the GC's measurement results and logs are stored in the GC along with a 16-bit cyclic redundancy check (CRC) code. When the data is retrieved, its integrity is verified by recomputing the CRC code and comparing it with the CRC code stored along with the data. p. 165
