The document describes a method for high-resolution separation of sulfonylurea pesticides, highlighting the excellent selectivity and peak shape of a new family of pesticides. ZORBAX SB-C18, a sterically protected, bonded phase, is used for reliable results run-after-run. The document provides the separation conditions and sample preparation method for various sulfonylurea pesticides.
The OPA134 series is an ultra-low distortion, low noise operational amplifier designed for audio applications. It provides superior sound quality and speed, high output drive capability, and excellent DC performance. Its wide output swing allows increased headroom, making it ideal for use in any audio circuit.
A liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry method using an electrospray ionization source in positive ion mode was developed for the analysis of glyphosate (N-phosphonomethyl glycine) and its metabolite, aminomethyl phosphonic acid in water. Both glyphosate and its metabolite were derivatized using 9-fluorenyl-methyl chloroformate in buffer solution prior to reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography separation. The method cleanly resolved both target molecules with excellent sensitivity in both positive and negative ion modes.
This Application Note describes the use of Agilent Purge-and-Trap/Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectral Detection technology for the analysis of volatile organic compounds in water.
This paper summarizes the standard method for tuning 4-bromofluorobenzene (BFB) and introduces three methods for tuning Agilent 6890/5973 GC/MSD systems.
This article describes a liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry method that has been successfully applied to the sensitive and simultaneous determination of the pesticides Simazine, Thiobencarb, and Thiuram. The method is selective and sensitive, making it suitable for the determination of these pesticides in drinking water.
This application describes methods for the analysis of a variety of phenols using an Agilent 6890 Plus GC system and 5973N MS detector with high resolution and fast quantitative methods. The provided analysis methods are useful for definitive assignment of the identity of phenols present in the analysis samples and for quantitative analysis of phenols.
A rapid analytical technique of laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was developed to measure trace element constituents in corals and hard sponges. This technique is illustrated by measuring B, Mg, Ca, Mn, Zn, Sr, Ba and U in a Porites coral collected from the Great Barrier Reef, Australia. The accuracy of laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spec- trometry for the measurement of Sr/Ca and Ba/Ca in corals by comparison with solution isotope dilution induc- tively coupled plasma mass spectrometry is discussed. We demonstrate the significance of the Sr/Ca ratio by correlation with in situ sea surface temperature data to show that Sr/Ca in corals provides a means to retrospec- tively measure sea surface temperature prior to available instrumental records. Coral Ba/Ca ratios as an indicator of riverine sediment input during times of runoff into the Great Barrier Reef are also examined.
The document describes the features and characteristics of a high-speed FET-input operational amplifier, including input bias current, bandwidth, distortion, open-loop gain, supply range, etc. The product is suitable for general-purpose, audio, data acquisition, and communications applications.
This document describes the application of the Agilent Technologies 6890/5973 inert gas chromatography/mass selective detector system in semivolatiles analysis. The system is designed for fast analysis while minimizing the impact of active compounds and maintaining linearity and sensitivity.
This article discusses the speciation of organic compounds using a newly developed experimental GC-ICP-MS interface. It focuses on the characteristics and applications of organotin compounds.
Ambient Headspace GC and GC-MSD analysis of non-polar volatiles in water is described. Ambient Headspace is an ideal method for prescreening samples prior to purge and trap (P&T) analysis. Instrumenta- tion is protected from high level conta- minants and rework is reduced. The nature of the technique also makes it attractive for high sample volume appli- cations, such as monitoring of process water in food/beverage manufacturing.
