This paper examines the issues with interfacing the AD1890/AD1891 with AES/EBU receivers and digital filters

This document provides notes on using Analog Devices' DSP, audio, and video components, focusing on the AD1849K's jitter requirements and input signal coupling.

This is an application note for ADV202 engineering samples that are 0.2(ES3) or higher. It outlines a series of recommended procedures and critical information to confirm correct hardware configuration and initialization of the ADV202. It provides test procedures for direct accesses and indirect accesses, tests to confirm correct DMA interface and JDATA mode operation, and addresses common problems the user may encounter. Performing these specific register access tests facilitates debugging systems for hardware and software errors.

The AD9981 is the first display electronics (DEPL) device to incorporate the auto-offset function. The auto-offset function works by calculating the required offset setting to yield a given output code during clamp. When auto- offset is enabled (Register 0x1B:5 = 1), the settings in Registers 0x0B – 0x10 are used by the auto-offset circuitry as desired clamp codes (or target codes) rather than an offset value. The circuit compares the output code after clamp (but still during the “back porch”) to the target code and adjusts the offset up or down to compensate. In auto-offset mode, the target code is an 11-bit twos complement word, with Bit 7 of 0x0B being the sign bit for the red channel (Bit 7 of 0x0D for green; Bit 7 of 0x0F for blue).

This document discusses the HD/CLI timing relationship in slave mode for the AD9929. The HD signal is used to reset internal counters and the timing relationship between HD and CLI is important for proper resetting. The document provides equations and ranges for the HD to CLI relationship for different SHDLOC values.

This document describes how the AD18xx Sigma Delta converters and codecs can be used with DC inputs.

The document is a user guide for ADAU1401A, ADAU1401, ADAU1701, and ADAU1702 SigmaDSP evaluation board. The evaluation board interfaces with the SigmaStudio software via USB and provides a full range of analog and digital inputs and outputs. Digital I/O connections are available in both S/PDIF and 3-wire serial data formats. The evaluation board is powered by a single supply and features voltage regulation on the board. It includes an on-board self-boot EEPROM for independent operation without the SigmaStudio software. Push-buttons, LEDs, potentiometers, and other interface options on the GPIO board can be connected to enable GPIO control. The EVAL-ADAU1401AEBZ can also be used for evaluating pin-compatible ADAU1701 and ADAU1702 SigmaDSPs.

This document explains the design and setup of the evaluation board for the AD1955. The evaluation board allows demonstration and performance testing of most AD1955 features, including high performance stereo DAC operation.

This document explains the design and setup of the evaluation board for the AD1937 and AD1939.

This user guide explains the signal flow and parameter settings for the ADAU1381 sound engine. The ADAU1381 is ideal for low power portable applications, such as digital camera audio. During the recording or playing back of audio, the sound engine provides many signal processing features to improve audio quality.

The ADV7623 is a high-performance HDMI 1.4 transceiver that integrates HDMI receiver and transmitter with digital audio I/Os onto one chip. It supports all HDCP repeater functions through fully tested ADI repeater software libraries and drivers. Xpressview technology allows fast switching between any HDMI input ports in less than 1 second. The ADV7623 supports all mandatory 3D TV formats and all HDTV formats up to 1080p 36-bit Deep Color. It also features an integrated HDMI 1.4 CEC controller for capability discovery and control (CDC). The ADV7623 has an integrated on-screen display (OSD) feature that allows generation and control of high-quality character and icon-based system status and control displays. It offers a dedicated flexible audio output port and a dedicated audio input port for easy extraction and insertion of audio data into and out of the HDMI stream. All HDMI audio formats, including SACD via DSD, compressed SACD via DST, and HBR, are supported. The ADV7623 also features an audio return channel (ARC) receiver to simplify cabling.
