This document describes the design, operation, and test results of the ADP1876-EVALZ evaluation board. The input range for this evaluation board is 10 V to 20 V, and the two regulated output voltages are set to 5 V (VOUT1) and 1.8 V (VOUT2) with a maximum 13 A output current. The power components, such as the MOFSETS, inductors, and bulk input and output capacitors, were chosen to yield a low system cost and good efficiency.

AD1958 is a digital audio decoder launched by Analog Devices. It supports 16-/18-/20-/24-Bit data and 24 bits, 192 kHz sampling rate. It can accept 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz and 192 kHz. The device uses a multi-bit Sigma-Delta modulator, which has a “perfect differential linearity restoration” function to reduce idle tone and noise floor. AD1958 also uses data-directed scrambling DACs that are least sensitive to jitter. The device uses single-ended output for easy use. At 48 kHz sampling rate (A-weighted stereo), the signal-to-noise ratio of AD1958 is 108 dB (not muted).

The AD5308/AD5318/AD5328 are 8/10/12-bit, 8-channel voltage output DACs from Analog Devices. The AD5308/AD5318/AD5328 feature low power consumption, low noise, and high precision, and are suitable for a variety of analog signal processing applications.

This article describes the concept of a versatile programmable amplifier using digital potentiometers with nonvolatile memory. By replacing mechanical potentiometers, the AD523x series of digital potentiometers mentioned in this article can improve the resolution and stability of the adjustment circuit.

This is an application note that describes the various options for receiving a subcarrier reference frequency for the AD722, including a logic-level (TTL) clock signal, a series resonant crystal, and a parallel resonant crystal. It also describes how to select between two different crystals in systems that offer both NTSC and PAL operation.
