ST7MC Three-Phase BLDC Motor Control Software Library

This document describes how to implement a 10-bit Sigma-Delta A/D converter using a simple external circuit and a Sigma-Delta conversion program. The ST7FLITE05(09) has an on-chip ADC with 8-bit resolution and an input range of 0-VCC. The external Sigma-Delta ADC described in this application is designed for relatively slow alternating signals (0,2 - 5Hz) in the range 0 - 10mV(p-p). The focus of the project is to provide good relative accuracy, repeatable parameters and simplicity, resulting therefore a low cost of the device (in its simplest form, apart from the microcontroller, only three RC elements are necessary).

This application note presents a realistic example of a thermometer using an ST7 and an NE555.

This document provides an introduction to the STR71x product family. It describes the software environment required to develop an STR71x application from scratch. It summarizes the different steps needed to configure the development toolset and to use the template software library to build and debug a sample STR71x application on the target hardware. Two software examples are supplied with this application note. Both are intended for users new to STR71x microcontrollers. The first one is a standard application demonstrating an input/output pin toggling function. The required steps to create this example project, to build and debug the image are described in the first chapter. The second one illustrates an advanced example showing the use of interrupts. Both examples are loaded and executed from the STR71x embedded RAM, and then the target hardware has to be configured accordingly (BOOTEN/1/0=”110”). The application source files are provided within the package ’AN1774.zip’. This document assumes that the reader is familiar with ARM cores. For more details on the ARM core architecture, refer to the ARM Developer Suite Guide and the ARM Technical Reference Manual. These documents are available from ARM website.

This application note introduces the hardware development of STR71x product family, including power management, clock management, reset control, boot mode settings and debug management, and provides detailed reference design schematics.

This application note describes how to configure the STR7 interrupt controller (EIC) to be able to handle IRQ and FIQ exceptions, and therefore how it can be customized for your own application requirements

This application note describes how to define the memory map of your STR71x application. The first part of this document shows how to use scatter loading files to place and organize data and code in memory. The second part focuses on software memory remapping.

AN1756 is an official application note released by ST. It introduces how to use ST7DALIF2 microcontroller to implement DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) protocol. This document introduces the implementation methods of DALI protocol and provides detailed information about the advantages of DALI protocol.

This application note is intended to help you quickly understand the ST72324 and get started quickly with your application. It focuses on important aspects of the ST72324 that you should not overlook when reading the datasheet. Sections 2 and 3 contain helpful pointers to help you choose the right tool for the development environment and start working with ST72324.

AN1754 is an ST7 application note that describes how to implement a data logging system using the ICC protocol.

This document presents practical software techniques for updating Flash-based ST7 MCUs using an RS232 serial port and a standard S-Records format file. The software is a small (less than 500 bytes) boot loader that allows for safe and reliable replacement of the operating software in the ST7.

This application note describes a software implementation of a Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART) that can be used on devices, like the ST7LITE0, with no on-chip SCI peripheral. In this example, a software UART is implemented for the ST7FLITE0, using the 12-bit Autoreload timer and two I/O ports for asynchronous receive and transmit. The UART software provides features such as half-duplex operation, asynchronous operation, flexible data formats (7 or 8 data bits, 1 or 2 stop bits), and baud rates ranging from 2400 to 19200 baud. The interrupt-driven software UART can be tested using the Hyperterminal application on a Windows PC. The program code is small (357 bytes) and can be easily adapted to specific application requirements.

This application note provides an overview of ST microcontrollers' EMC features and compliance standards to help application designers achieve optimum EMC performance.
