The L4941 is a three terminal 5V positive regulator available in TO-220 and DPAK packages, making it useful in a wide range of industrial and consumer applications. Thanks to its very low input/output voltage drop, these devices are particularly suitable for battery powered equipments, reducing consumption and prolonging battery life. It employs internal current limiting, antisaturation circuit, thermal shut-down and safe area protection.

The L4940 series is a three-terminal positive regulator with precise 5V, 8.5V, 10V, and 12V outputs. It has very low dropout voltage and quiescent current, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications. The SG3524 is an integrated controller for the construction of various power applications, such as flyback switching power supplies, forward switching power supplies, flyback transformer-coupled DC-DC converters, transformerless voltage doublers and polarity converters.

The L4981A L4981B power factor corrector controller can achieve a power factor of up to 0.99. It also limits line current distortion to less than 5%. The chip is made using BCD 60II technology and has all the features of a power factor corrector (PFC) pre-regulator, including line and load regulation, average current mode PWM, high current bipolar and DMOS totem pole output, low start-up current (typ. 0.3 mA), undervoltage lockout with hysteresis and programmable turn-on threshold, overvoltage, overcurrent protection, precise 2% on-chip reference, and external soft start.

The L4977A is a stepdown monolithic power switching regulator delivering 7A at a voltage variable from 5.1 to 40V. It features reset and power fail for microprocessors, feed forward line regulation, soft start, limiting current, and thermal protection.

The L4975A is a stepdown monolithic power switching regulator delivering 5A at a voltage vari- able from 5.1 to 40V. Realized with BCD mixed technology, the device uses a DMOS output transistor to obtain very high efficiency and very fast switching times. Features of the L4975A include reset and power fail for mi- croprocessors, feed forward line regulation, soft start, limiting current and thermal protection. The device is mounted in a 15-lead multiwatt plastic power package and requires few external compo- nents. Efficient operation at switching frequencies up to 500KHz allows reduction in the size and cost of external filter components.

The L4974A is a 600V switching regulator with a maximum output current of 3.5A and an output voltage range of 5.1V to 40V. It features high efficiency, high switching frequency, and low standby current.

The L4972A is a stepdown monolithic power switching regulator delivering 2A at a voltage variable from 5.1 to 40V. Realized with BCD mixed technology, the device uses a DMOS output transistor to obtain very high efficiency and very fast switching times. Features of the L4972 include reset and power fail for microprocessors, feed forward line regulation, soft start, limiting current and thermal protection. The device is mounted in a Powerdip 16 + 2 + 2 and SO20 large plastic packages and requires few external components. Efficient operation at switching frequencies up to 200KHz allows reduction in the size and cost of external filter component.

The L4963 is a monolithic power switching regulator delivering 1.5A at 5.1V. The output voltage is adjustable from 5.1V to 36V, working in discontinuous variable frequency mode. Features of the device include remote inhibit, internal current limiting and thermal protection, reset and power fail outputs for microprocessor.

L4962 is a monolithic power switching regulator delivering 1.5A at a voltage variable from 5V to 40V in step down configuration. Features of the device include current limiting, soft start, thermal protection and 0 to 100% duty cycle for continuous operating mode.

The L4960 is a 2.5A power switching regulator with an output current of 2.5A and an output voltage range of 5.1V to 40V. It features a precision (±2%) on-chip reference voltage, high switching frequency, very high efficiency (up to 90%), very few external components, soft start, internal current limiting, and thermal shutdown.

The L296 is a high current switching regulator produced by Linear Technology, which can output 4A of current, with an output voltage range from 5.1V to 40V, supporting 0 to 100% duty cycle, precision of ±2%, switching frequency up to 200KHz, efficiency up to 90%, very few external components, soft start, reset output, external programmable limiting current (L296P), control circuit for Crowbar SCR, input for remote inhibit and synchronous PWM, and thermal shutdown.
