MAXIM MAX975/MAX977 Single/Dual +3V/+5V Dual-Speed Comparators with Auto-Standby handbook
The MAX975/MAX977 single/dual comparators feature three different operating modes, and are optimized for +3V and +5V single-supply applications. The operating modes are high speed, high speed with auto-standby, and low power. In high-speed mode, the propagation delay is 28ns, while the supply current is only 250µA. The supply current is reduced to 3µA in low-power mode. The auto-standby feature allows the comparator to automatically change from low-power mode to high-speed mode upon receipt of an input signal. In the absence of an input signal, the comparator reverts back to low-power mode after an adjustable timeout period. The timeout period for the MAX975 to enter standby is set by a single capacitor. The dual MAX977 features independently adjustable timeout periods for each comparator using separate capacitors. The MAX975/MAX977’s inputs have a common-mode voltage range of -0.2V to (VCC - 1.2V). The differential input voltage range extends rail to rail. The outputs are capable of rail-to-rail operation without external pull-up circuitry, making these devices ideal for interface with CMOS/TTL logic. All inputs and outputs can tolerate a continuous short-circuit fault condition to either rail.

MAXIM MAX1132/MAX1133 Manual
The MAX1132/MAX1133 are 200ksps, 16-bit ADCs. These serially interfaced ADCs connect directly to SPI™, QSPI™, and MICROWIRE™ devices without external logic. They combine an input scaling network, internal track/hold, clock, a +4.096V reference, and three general-purpose digital output pins (for external multiplexer or PGA control) in a 20-pin SSOP package. The excellent dynamic performance (SINAD ≥ 85dB), high-speed (200ksps), and low power (7.5mA) of these ADCs, make them ideal for applications such as industrial process control, instrumentation, and medical applications. The MAX1132 accepts input signals of 0 to +12V (unipolar) or ±12V (bipolar), while the MAX1133 accepts input signals of 0 to +4.096V (unipolar) or ±4.096V (bipolar). Operating from a single +4.75V to +5.25V analog supply and a +4.75V to +5.25V digital supply, power-down modes reduce current consumption to 1mA at 10ksps and further reduce supply current to less than 20µA at slower data rates. A serial strobe output (SSTRB) allows direct connection to the TMS320 family of digital signal processors. The MAX1132/MAX1133 user can select either the internal clock, or an external serial-interface clock for the ADC to perform analog-to-digital conversions. The MAX1132/MAX1133 feature internal calibration circuitry to correct linearity and offset errors. On-demand calibration allows the user to optimize performance. Three user-programmable logic outputs are provided for the control of a
MAXIM MAX509/MAX510 Manual
The MAX509/MAX510 are quad, serial-input, 8-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converters (DACs). They operate with a single +5V supply or dual ±5V supplies. Internal, precision buffers swing rail-to-rail. The reference input range includes both supply rails. The MAX509 has four separate reference inputs, allowing each DAC's full-scale range to be set independently. 20-pin DIP, SSOP, and SO packages are available. The MAX510 is identical to the MAX509 except it has two reference inputs, each shared by two DACs. The MAX510 is housed in space-saving 16-pin DIP and SO packages. The serial interface is double-buffered: A 12-bit input shift register is followed by four 8-bit buffer registers and four 8-bit DAC registers. A 12-bit serial word is used to load data into each register. Both input and DAC registers can be updated independently or simultaneously with single software commands. Two additional asynchronous control pins provide simultaneous updating (LDAC) or clearing (CLR) of input and DAC registers. The interface is compatible with MicrowireTM and SPI/ QSPITM. All digital inputs and outputs are TTL/CMOS compatible. A buffered data output provides for read-back or daisy-chaining of serial devices.
MAXIM DS56 Manual
The DS56 Dual Temperature Comparator is a temperature sensor and voltage reference combination device that has two independent open-drain thermostat outputs and respective trip point inputs. The trip points are set with external resistors that divide down the 1.25V internal bandgap voltage reference. The voltage resulting from this resistive division is compared with the voltage corresponding to the device’s junction temperature to define the thermostat output logic state. The internal temperature sensor has a typical sensitivity of +6.2mV/°C and DC offset of +395 mV at 0°C. Both thermostat outputs have adjustable hysteresis. The device is housed in a narrow-body SO8 (150-mil) package and has an operating power supply range of 2.7V to 5.5V. It is suitable for monitoring disk drives, printers, office equipment, HVAC, appliances, or any power/cost/temperature-sensitive environments.
MAXIM MAX4212/MAX4213 Manual
MAX4212/MAX4213 single, MAX4216 dual, MAX4218 triple, and MAX4220 quad op amps are unity-gain-stable devices that combine high-speed per- formance with Rail-to-Rail® outputs. The MAX4213/ MAX4218 have a disable feature that reduces power- supply current to 400µA and places the outputs into a high-impedance state. These devices operate from a 3.3V to 10V single supply or from ±1.65V to ±5V dual supplies. The common-mode input voltage range extends beyond the negative power-supply rail (ground in single-supply applications). These devices require only 5.5mA of quiescent supply current while achieving a 300MHz -3dB bandwidth and a 600V/µs slew rate. Input-voltage noise is only 10nV/√Hz and input-current noise is only 1.3pA/√Hz for either the inverting or noninverting input. These parts are an excellent solution in low-power/low-voltage sys- tems that require wide bandwidth, such as video, com- munications, and instrumentation. In addition, when disabled, their high-output impedance makes them ideal for multiplexing applications. The MAX4212 comes in a miniature 5-pin SOT23 pack- age, while the MAX4213/MAX4216 come in 8-pin µMAX and SO packages. The MAX4218/MAX4220 are available in space-saving 16-pin QSOP and 14-pin SO packages.

MAXIM MAX8215/MAX8216 handbook
The MAX8215 contains five voltage comparators; four are for monitoring +5V, -5V, +12V, and -12V, and the fifth monitors any desired voltage. The MAX8216 is identical, except it monitors ±15V supplies instead of ±12V. The resistors required to monitor these voltages and provide comparator hysteresis are included on- chip. All comparators have open-drain outputs. These devices consume 250µA max supply current over tem- perature.
MAXIM MAX8901A/MAX8901B User Manual
The MAX8901A/MAX8901B are step-up converters designed to drive two to six series-connected white LEDs (WLEDs) with constant current for uniform WLED intensity in LCD backlighting for cell phones, PDAs, and other handheld devices. The converters operate at a fixed 750kHz (typ) switching frequency, allowing for small external components, and are optimized for high efficiency over the entire 1-cell Li+/Li-Poly battery range. These converters use a single input (ON) to enable the IC and control WLED intensity. The MAX8901A requires a direct PWM input to regulate WLED intensity, with the WLED current proportional to the PWM duty cycle. The MAX8901B uses single-wire, serial-pulse dimming to reduce WLED intensity in 32 linear steps. The full-scale WLED current for serial-pulse dimming is 24.75mA (MAX8901B, 0.75mA/step). The MAX8901_ features an internal soft-start to eliminate inrush currents during startup, input overvoltage protection, WLED overvoltage protection, and a shutdown mode with 0.01µA (typ) shutdown current. No WLED current is present in shutdown mode if the WLED forward voltage is greater than the input supply voltage. Additional features include undervoltage lockout (UVLO) and thermal shutdown. The MAX8901_ is available in a small 8-pin, 2mm x 2mm TDFN-EP package (maximum height 0.8mm).
