MAXIM MAX3224E/MAX3225E/MAX3226E/MAX3227E/ MAX3244E/MAX3245E Manual
The MAX3224E/MAX3225E/MAX3226E/MAX3227E/MAX3244E/MAX3245E are 3V-powered EIA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces with automatic shutdown/wakeup features, high data-rate capabilities, and enhanced electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. All transmitter outputs and receiver inputs are protected to ±15kV using IEC 1000-4-2 Air-Gap Discharge, ±8kV using IEC 1000-4-2 Contact Discharge, and ±15kV using the Human Body Model. All devices achieve a 1µA supply current using Maxim’s revolutionary AutoShutdown Plus™ feature. These devices automatically enter a low-power shutdown mode when the RS-232 cable is disconnected or the transmitters of the connected peripherals are inactive, and the UART driving the transmitter inputs is inactive for more than 30 seconds. They turn on again when they sense a valid transition at any transmitter or receiver input. AutoShutdown Plus saves power without changes to the existing BIOS or operating system. The MAX3225E/MAX3227E/MAX3245E also feature MegaBaud™ operation, guaranteeing 1Mbps for high-speed applications such as communicating with ISDN modems. The MAX3224E/MAX3226E/MAX3244E guarantee 250kbps operation. The transceivers have a proprietary low-dropout transmitter output stage enabling true RS-232 performance from a +3.0V to +5.5V supply with a dual charge pump. The charge pump requires only four small 0.1µF capacitors for operation from a 3.3V supply. The MAX3224E–MAX3227E feature a
MAXIM MAX323/MAX324/MAX325 handbook
The MAX323/MAX324/MAX325 are precision, dual, SPST analog switches. They are single-supply devices designed to operate from +2.7V to +16V. The MAX323 has two normally open (NO) switches, and the MAX324 has two normally closed (NC) switches. The MAX325 has one NO and one NC switch. Low power consump- tion (5µW) makes these parts ideal for battery-powered equipment. These switches offer low leakage currents (100pA max) and fast switching speeds (tON = 150ns max, tOFF = 100ns max). When powered from a 5V supply, the MAX323 series offers 2Ω max matching between channels, 60Ω max on-resistance, and 6Ω max RON flatness. These switches also offer 5pC max charge injection, and a minimum of 2000V ESD per Method 3015.7.

MAXIM USB Current-Limited Switches with Fault Blanking MAX1693/(MAX1693H)/MAX1694 Manual
The MAX1693/(MAX1693H)/MAX1694 are current-limited, 60mΩ switches with built-in fault blanking. Their accurate preset current limit of 0.7A to 1.0A makes them ideally suited for USB applications. Their low quiescent supply current (14µA) and shutdown current (1µA) con- serve battery power in portable applications. The MAX1693/(MAX1693H)/MAX1694 operate with inputs from 2.7V to 5.5V, making them ideal for both 3V and 5V systems. A fault signal notifies the microprocessor that the inter- nal current limit has been reached. A 10ms fault-blank- ing feature allows momentary faults (such as those caused when hot-swapping into a capacitive load) to be ignored, thus preventing false alarms to the host system. This fault blanking also prevents a fault signal from being issued when the device is powering up. In the MAX1693/(MAX1693H), an output overcurrent condition causes the switch to current limit at 0.7A to 1.0A and FAULT to go low after the 10ms blanking peri- od. When the overcurrent condition is removed, FAULT returns to its high-impedance state. In the MAX1694, any overcurrent longer than 10ms will latch the switch open and set FAULT low. The latch is cleared by cycling the ON input or by powering up the device again. This feature saves power by preventing the device from ther- mal cycling on and off in case of a persistent short-cir- cuit condition. The MAX1693/(MAX1693H)/MAX1694 have several safety features to ensure that the USB port is protected.
MAXIM MAX1181 Manual
The MAX1181 is a 3V, dual 10-bit, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) featuring fully-differential wideband track-and-hold (T/H) inputs, driving two pipelined, nine- stage ADCs. The MAX1181 is optimized for low-power, high-dynamic performance applications in imaging, instrumentation, and digital communication applications. The MAX1181 operates from a single 2.7V to 3.6V supply, consuming only 246mW, while delivering a typi- cal signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 59dB at an input fre- quency of 20MHz and a sampling rate of 80Msps. The T/H driven input stages incorporate 400MHz (-3dB) input amplifiers. The converters may also be operated with single-ended inputs. In addition to low operating power, the MAX1181 features a 2.8mA sleep mode, as well as a 1µA power-down mode to conserve power during idle periods. An internal 2.048V precision bandgap reference sets the full-scale range of the ADC. A flexible reference structure allows the use of the internal or external reference, if desired for applications requiring increased accuracy or a different input voltage range. The MAX1181 features parallel, CMOS-compatible three-state outputs. The digital output format is set to two’s complement or straight offset binary through a single control pin. The device provides for a separate output power supply of 1.7V to 3.6V for flexible interfac- ing. The MAX1181 is available in a 7mm ✕ 7mm, 48-pin TQFP package, and is specified for the extended industrial (-40°C to +85°C) te

MAXIM MAX9217 Manual
The MAX9217 is a digital video parallel-to-serial converter. It serializes 27 bits of parallel data into a serial data stream. Eighteen bits of video data and 9 bits of control data are encoded and multiplexed onto the serial interface, reducing the serial data rate. The MAX9217 pairs with the MAX9218 deserializer to form a complete digital video serial link. Interconnect can be controlled-impedance PCB traces or twisted-pair cable. Proprietary data encoding reduces EMI and pro- vides DC balance. DC balance allows AC-coupling, providing isolation between the transmitting and receiv- ing ends of the interface. The LVDS output is internally terminated with 100Ω. ESD tolerance is specified for ISO 10605 with ±10kV contact discharge and ±30kV air discharge. The MAX9217 operates from a +3.3V core supply and features a separate input supply for interfacing to 1.8V to 3.3V logic levels. This device is available in 48-lead Thin QFN and LQFP packages and is specified from -40°C to +85°C.
