The MAX4578/MAX4579 are high-voltage, 8-channel CMOS multiplexers. The MAX4578 and dual 4-channel MAX4579 are ideal for precision ADC calibration and system self-monitoring applications. These calibration multiplexers (cal-muxes) have precision resistor- dividers to generate accurate voltage ratios from an input reference voltage. The reference ratios include 15/4096 and 4081/4096 of the external reference voltage, accurate to 15 bits, and 1/2(V+) and 5/8(V+ - V-), accurate to 8 bits. The external reference voltage as well as ground can also be switched to the output. The MAX4578/MAX4579 have enable inputs and address latching. All digital inputs have 0.8V and 2.4V logic thresholds, ensuring both TTL- and CMOS-logic compatibility when using a single +12V or dual ±15V supplies. Protection diodes at all inputs provide >2kV ESD rating. The MAX4578/MAX4579 operate from a single +4.5V to +36V supply or from dual supplies of ±4.5V to ±20V. On-resistance (350Ω max) is matched between switches to 15Ω max. Each switch can handle Rail-to-Rail® analog signals. The off-leakage current is 20pA at TA = +25°C and 1.25nA at TA = +85°C. The MAX4578/MAX4579 are available in small 20-pin SSOP, SO, and DIP packages.

MAX378/MAX379 8/4 channel single-ended/differential switch with fault protection

The MAX354/MAX355 fault-protected multiplexers (muxes) use a series N-channel, P-channel, N-channel structure that protects the devices from overvoltage up to 40V beyond the supply rails during power-up, power-down, and fault conditions. The MAX354/MAX355 also protect sensitive circuit components against voltages near or beyond the normal supplies. The MAX354 single 8-channel mux and the MAX355 dual 4-channel mux protect analog signals while oper- ating from a single 4.5V to 36V supply or ±4.5V to ±18V dual supplies. These muxes have 350Ω on-resistance and can be used for demultiplexing as well as multi- plexing. Input leakage current is less than 0.5nA at +25°C and less than 5nA at +85°C. All digital inputs have 0.8V and 2.4V logic thresholds, ensuring both TTL and CMOS logic compatibility with- out pull-up resistors. Break-before-make operation is guaranteed and power consumption is less than 1.5mW.

The MAX335 is a Maxim Integrated 8-channel SPST switch with SPI-compatible serial interface. It supports power supplies ranging from ±4.5V to ±20V and can handle rail-to-rail analog signals. Upon power-up, all switches are off and the internal serial and parallel shift registers are reset to zero.

The MAX336/MAX337 are monolithic, CMOS analog multiplexers (muxes) that can be used as either a mux or a demux. They have low on-resistance, fast transition time, and low leakage current. They operate from a single supply or dual supplies and are pin-compatible upgrades for the DG506 and DG507. They are suitable for precision data acquisition, precision signal routing, and test equipment.

The MAX361/MAX362 are precision, quad, single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switches. The MAX361 has four normally closed (NC) switches, and the MAX362 has four normally open (NO) switches. Both parts offer low channel on-resistance (less than 85Ω), guaranteed to match within 3Ω between channels and to remain flat over the analog signal range (∆9Ω max). Both parts also offer low leakage (less than 500pA at +25°C and less than 4nA at +85°C) and fast switching (turn-on time less than 250ns and turn-off time less than 170ns). The MAX361/MAX362 are fabricated with Maxim’s new improved 44V silicon-gate process. Design improve- ments guarantee extremely low charge injection (10pC), low power consumption (35µW), and electro- static discharge (ESD) greater than 2000V. The 44V maximum breakdown voltage allows rail-to-rail analog signal handling capability. These monolithic switches operate with a single positive supply (+10V to +30V) or with split supplies (±4.5V to ±20V) while retaining CMOS-logic input compatibility and fast switching. The MAX317/MAX318/MAX319 are precision, CMOS, monolithic analog switches. The single-pole single-throw (SPST) MAX317 is normally closed (NC), the SPST MAX318 is normally open (NO), and the single-pole double-throw (SPDT) MAX319 has one normally open and one normally closed switch. All three parts offer low on resistance (less than 35Ω), guaranteed to match within 2Ω between channels and to remain flat over the analog signal range (∆3Ω max). They also offer low leakage (less than 250pA at +25°C and less than 6nA at +85°C) and fast switching (turn-on time less than 175ns and turn-off time less than 145ns). The MAX317/MAX318/MAX319 are fabricated with Maxim’s new improved silicon-gate process. Design improvements guarantee extremely low charge injec- tion (10pC), low power consumption (35µW), and elec- trostatic discharge (ESD) greater than ±2000V. The MAX306/MAX307 are precision, monolithic, CMOS analog multiplexers (muxes) that offer low on-resistance (less than 100Ω), which is matched to within 5Ω between channels and remains flat over the specified analog signal range (7Ω, max). They also offer low leak- age over temperature (INO(OFF) less than 2.5nA at +85°C) and fast switching speeds (tTRANS less than 250ns). The MAX306 is a single-ended 1-of-16 device, and the MAX307 is a differential 2-of-8 device. The MAX306/MAX307 are fabricated with Maxim’s improved 44V silicon-gate process. Design improve- ments yield extremely low charge injection (less than 10pC) and guarantee electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection greater than 2000V. These muxes operate with a single +5V to +30V supply, or bipolar ±4.5V to ±20V supplies, while retaining TTL/CMOS-logic input compatibility and fast switching. CMOS inputs provide reduced input loading. These improved parts are plug-in upgrades for the industry- standard DG406, DG407, DG506A, and DG507A.
