The MAX44280 offers a unique combination of high speed, precision, low noise, and low-voltage operation making it ideally suited for a large number of signal processing functions such as filtering and amplification of signals in portable and industrial equipment. The amplifier features an input offset of less than 50FV and a high-gain bandwidth product of 50MHz while maintaining a low 1.8V supply rail. The device is internally compensated for gains of 5V/V or greater. The MAX44280 includes a fast-power-on shutdown mode for further power savings. The MAX44280 operates from a supply range of 1.8V to 5.5V over the -40NC to +125NC temperature range and can operate down to 1.7V over the 0NC to +70NC temperature range. The MAX44280 is available in a small, 6-pin SC70 package and is also available in a 1mm x 1.5mm thin µDFN (ultra-thin LGA) package.

The MAX44251/MAX44252 are 20V, ultra-precision, low-noise, low-drift amplifiers that offer near-zero DC offset and drift through the use of patented autocorrelating zeroing techniques. This method constantly measures and compensates the input offset, eliminating drift over time and temperature and the effect of 1/f noise. These dual and quad devices feature rail-to-rail outputs, oper- ate from a single 2.7V to 20V supply, and consume only 1.15mA per channel, while providing 5.9nV/√Hz input- referred voltage noise. The ICs are unity-gain stable with a gain-bandwidth product of 10MHz. With excellent specifications such as offset voltage of 6µV (max), drift of 19nV/°C (max), and 123nVP-P noise in 0.1Hz to 10Hz, the ICs are ideally suited for applications requiring ultra-low noise and DC precision such as inter- facing with pressure sensors, strain gauges, precision weight scales, and medical instrumentation. The ICs are available in 8-pin SOT23, 8-pin µMAXM, and 14-pin SOIC packages and are rated over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.

The MAX9622 op amp is a precision, high-bandwidth amplifier with rail-to-rail output and a 50MHz gain bandwidth at a supply current of just 1mA. During power-up, this device automatically calibrates its input offset voltage to less than 100FV. It operates from a single-supply voltage of 2.0V to 5.25V. The MAX9622 is available in a tiny 2mm x 2mm, 5-pin SC70 package and is rated over the -40NC to +125NC automotive temperature range.

MAX9633 is a Maxim low-noise, low-distortion operational amplifier that is optimized to drive ADCs for use in applications from DC to a few MHz. The MAX9633 features low noise (3 nV/√Hz at 1 kHz and 3.5 nV/√Hz at 100 Hz) and low distortion (130 dB at 10 kHz), making it suitable for industrial, medical, and test applications. Its exceptionally fast settling time and low input offset voltage make it an excellent solution to drive high-resolution 12-bit to 18-bit SAR ADCs. The IC operates from a wide supply voltage range up to 36 V with only 3.5 mA of quiescent current per amplifier. The IC is offered in an 8-pin, 3 mm x 3 mm TDFN package for operation over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.

The MAX9650/MAX9651 are single- and dual-channel VCOM amplifiers with rail-to-rail inputs and outputs. The MAX9650/MAX9651 can drive up to 1300mA of peak current per channel and operate up to 20V. The MAX9650/MAX9651 are designed to source and sink a high current quickly to hold the VCOM voltage stable in large TFT-LCD panels. The MAX9650/MAX9651 feature 40V/µs slew rate and 35MHz bandwidth to quickly settle outputs for 120Hz frame rate and full HD television. The MAX9650/MAX9651 feature output short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown. These devices are available in exposed pad packages for excellent heat dissipation.

The MAX4473 PA power control IC is intended for closed-loop bias control of GSM power amplifiers. The device facilitates accurate control of the current deliv- ered to the power amplifier (PA) through a control volt- age. The error amplifier senses the voltage drop across an external current-sense resistor placed between the supply and the PA. The output of the error amplifier adjusts the PA gain until the current is proportional to the power control voltage applied to the MAX4473. This unique topology is useful in time-division-multiple- access (TDMA) systems, such as GSM, where accurate transmit burst shaping and power control is required. User-selectable current sensing and gain setting resis- tors maximize flexibility. The MAX4473 operates from a single 2.7V to 6.5V sup- ply and typically draws 1.2mA of supply current. The error amplifier has a common-mode range that extends from 1V to VCC. The power control input and error amplifier outputs swing rail-to-rail. A low-power shut- down mode reduces supply current to less than 1µA and activates an on-board active pull-down at the error amplifier output. Fast enable/disable times of 0.9µs reduce average power consumption without compro- mising dynamic performance. The MAX4473 is avail- able in a space-saving 8-pin µMAX® package.

The MAX9945 is a low-power, low-noise, MOS-input operational amplifier with a wide power supply range, low quiescent current, and high output swing.

The MAX9550/MAX9551/MAX9552 are three VCOM drive buffers that provide a VCOM source for TFT LCDs. They can provide high current to quickly restore the VCOM voltage, making them ideal for TFT LCDs. The output settles to within 0.1% of VOUT in less than 2µs. In addition, the MAX9550/MAX9551/MAX9552 can directly drive the capacitive load in the VCOM layer of the TFT LCDs without the need for a series resistor. The MAX9550/MAX9551/MAX9552 are single-, dual-, and quad-channel VCOM amplifiers, respectively. The MAX9550/MAX9551/MAX9552 can drive up to 800mA of peak current per channel and operate up to 20V. The devices feature soft-start to reduce inrush current, output short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. The MAX9550 is available in a space-saving 5-pin thin SOT23 package, and an 8-pin µMAX® package with an exposed paddle. The MAX9551 is available in an 8-pin µMAX package with an exposed paddle. The MAX9552 is available in a 14-pin TSSOP package. All devices are specified over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.

The MAX4230–MAX4234 single/dual/quad, high-output-drive CMOS op amps feature 200mA of peak output current, rail-to-rail input, and output capability from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply. These amplifiers exhibit a high slew rate of 10V/µs and a gain-bandwidth product (GBWP) of 10MHz. The MAX4230–MAX4234 can drive typical headset levels (32Ω), as well as bias an RF power amplifier (PA) in wireless handset applications. The MAX4230 comes in a tiny 5-pin SC70 package and the MAX4231, single with shutdown, is offered in a 6-pin SC70 package and in 1.5mm x 1.0mm UCSP and thin µDFN packages. The dual op-amp MAX4233 is offered in the space-saving 10-bump chip-scale package (UCSP™), providing the smallest footprint area for a dual op amp with shutdown. These op amps are designed to be part of the PA control circuitry, biasing RF PAs in wireless headsets. The MAX4231/MAX4233 offer a SHDN feature that drives the output low. This ensures that the RF PA is fully disabled when needed, preventing unconverted signals to the RF antenna. The MAX4230 family offers low offsets, wide bandwidth, and high-output drive in a tiny 2.1mm x 2.0mm space-saving SC70 package. These parts are offered over the automotive temperature range (-40°C to +125°C).
