The MAX4289 micropower, operational amplifier is optimized for ultra-low supply voltage operation. The amplifier consumes only 9µA of quiescent supply current and is fully specified for operation from a single 1.0V to 5.5V power supply. This ultra-low voltage operation together with the low quiescent current consumption make the MAX4289 ideal for use in battery-powered systems operated from as little as a single alkaline cell. The MAX4289 also features a wide input common-mode range that includes the ground, and an output voltage swing that is virtually Rail-to-Rail®, allowing almost all of the power supply to be used for signal voltage. The low input offset voltage and low input bias current specifications along with the high open-loop gain make the MAX4289 well-suited to applications requiring a high degree of precision. The MAX4289 is available in a tiny 6-pin SOT23 package. All specifications are guaranteed over the extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

The MAX4475-MAX4478/MAX4488/MAX4489 are wideband, low-noise, low-distortion operational amplifiers with rail-to-rail outputs and single-supply operation. They have ultra-low distortion and low noise characteristics, making them ideal for applications that require low distortion and/or low noise.

The MAX4236/MAX4237 are high-precision op amps that feature an exceptionally low offset voltage and off- set voltage temperature coefficient without using any chopper techniques.

The MAX4493/MAX4494/MAX4495 single/dual/quad general-purpose operational amplifiers are designed for use in systems powered with dual supplies from ±2.25V to ±5.5V or with a single supply of +4.5V to +11V.

The MAX4490/MAX4491/MAX4492 is a low-cost CMOS operational amplifier featuring Rail-to-Rail® input and output capability from either a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply or dual ±1.35V to ±2.75V supplies. These amplifiers exhibit a high slew rate of 10V/µs and a gain-bandwidth product of 10MHz. They can drive 2kΩ resistive loads to within 55mV of either supply rail and remain unity-gain stable with capacitive loads up to 300pF. The MAX4490 is offered in the ultra-small, 5-pin SC70 package, which is 50% smaller than the standard 5-pin SOT23 package. Specifications for all parts are guaran- teed over the automotive (-40°C to +125°C) tempera- ture range.

MAX410/MAX412/MAX414 is a single/dual/quad low noise low voltage precision op amp launched by MAXIM. This device has a low noise of 2.4nV/√Hz and a low current consumption of 2.5mA, and can operate in a supply voltage range of ±2.4V to ±5V. It also has a 28MHz bandwidth and a maximum slew rate of 4.5V/µs, making it ideal for a wide range of wideband and measurement applications.

The MAX4249–MAX4257 are low-noise, low-distortion operational amplifiers that offer rail-to-rail outputs and single-supply operation down to 2.4V.

The MAX44265 op amp features a maximized ratio of gain bandwidth (GBW) to supply current and is ideal for battery-powered applications such as handsets, tablets, notebooks, and portable medical equipment. This CMOS op amp features an ultra-low input-bias current of 1pA, rail-to-rail input and output, low supply current of 4µA, and operates from a single 1.8V to 5.5V supply. For additional power conservation, the IC also features a low-power shutdown mode that reduces supply current to 1nA and puts the amplifier’s outputs in a high-impedance state. This device is unity-gain stable with a 200kHz GBW product. It is available in a space-saving, 0.9mm x 1.3mm, 6-bump WLP package and is specified over the -40°C to +85°C extended operating temperature range.

The MAX9910/MAX9911 and MAX9912/MAX9913 are single-channel and dual-channel operational amplifiers, suitable for battery-powered applications. They feature a high ratio of gain bandwidth to supply current, ultra-low input bias current, rail-to-rail input and output voltage ranges, and low power consumption.

The single MAX9914/MAX9915 and dual MAX9916/ MAX9917 operational amplifiers feature maximized ratio of gain bandwidth to supply current and are ideal for battery-powered applications such as portable instrumentation, portable medical equipment, and wireless handsets. These CMOS op amps feature an ultra-low 1pA input bias current, rail-to-rail inputs and outputs, low 20µA supply current, and operate from a single 1.8V to 5.5V supply. For additional power conservation, the MAX9915/MAX9917 feature a low-power shutdown mode that reduces supply current to 1nA, and puts the amplifier outputs in a high-impedance state. These devices are unity-gain stable with a 1MHz gain-bandwidth product. The MAX9914 and MAX9915 are available in 5-pin and 6-pin SC70 packages, respectively. The MAX9916 is available in an 8-pin SOT23 package, and the MAX9917 in a 10-pin µMAX® package. All devices are specified over the -40°C to +85°C extended operating temperature range.

The MAX4036/MAX4037 and MAX4038/MAX4039 are single and dual operational amplifiers, suitable for single-cell lithium-ion or two-cell NiCd/NiMH/alkaline battery-powered applications. They feature ultra-low supply current, low operating voltage, and rail-to-rail outputs.

MAX4464/MAX4470/MAX4471/MAX4472/MAX4474 is a low-power operational amplifier that operates from a single supply of +1.8V to +5.5V and draws only 750nA of supply current. It features ground-sensing inputs and a rail-to-rail output. The ultra-low supply current, low-operating voltage, and rail-to-rail output capabilities make these operational amplifiers ideal for use in single lithium ion (Li+), or two-cell NiCd or alkaline battery systems. The rail-to-rail output stage of the MAX4464/MAX4470/ MAX4471/MAX4472/MAX4474 amplifiers is capable of driving the output voltage to within 4mV of the rail with a 100kΩ load, and can sink and source 11mA with a +5V supply. These amplifiers are available in both fully com- pensated and decompensated versions. The single MAX4470, dual MAX4471, and the quad MAX4472 are unity-gain stable. The single MAX4464 and the dual MAX4474 are stable for closed-loop gain configurations of ≥ +5V/V. These amplifiers are available in space-sav- ing WLP, SC70, SOT23, µMAX®, and TSSOP packages.

The ICL761X–ICL764X family is a monolithic CMOS op amp that combines ultra-low input current with low-power operation over a wide supply voltage range. It offers pin-selectable quiescent currents of 10µA, 100µA, or 1000µA per amplifier, and can operate from ±1V to ±8V power supplies, or from single supplies from 2V to 16V. The CMOS outputs swing to within millivolts of the supply voltages. The ultra-low bias current of 1pA makes this family of op amps ideal for long time constant integrators, picoammeters, low droop rate sample/hold amplifiers, and other applications where input bias and offset currents are critical. A low noise current of 0.01pA√Hz and an input impedance of 1012Ω ensure optimum performance with very high source impedances in applications such as pH meters and photodiode amplifiers.

1.2µA Max, Single/Dual/Quad, Single-Supply Op Amps

The MAX4240-MAX4244 family of micropower op amps operate from a single +1.8V to +5.5V supply or dual ±0.9V to ±2.75V supplies and have Beyond-the-Rails™ inputs and rail-to-rail output capabilities. These ampli- fiers provide a 90kHz gain-bandwidth product while using only 10µA of supply current per amplifier. The MAX4241/MAX4243 have a low-power shutdown mode that reduces supply current to less than 1µA and forces the output into a high-impedance state. Although the minimum operating voltage is specified at +1.8V, these devices typically operate down to +1.5V. The combina- tion of ultra-low-voltage operation, beyond-the-rails inputs, rail-to-rail outputs, and ultra-low power con- sumption makes these devices ideal for any portable/ two-cell battery-powered system. These amplifiers have an input common-mode range that extends 200mV beyond each rail, and their out- puts typically swing to within 9mV of the rails with a 100kΩ load. Beyond-the-rails input and rail-to-rail out- put characteristics allow the full power-supply voltage to be used for signal range. The combination of low input offset voltage, low input bias current, and high open-loop gain makes them suitable for low-power/low- voltage precision applications. The MAX4240 is offered in a space-saving 5-pin SOT23 package. All specifications are guaranteed over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.
