This document serves as a preventive maintenance guide for Tuttnauer autoclaves, covering daily, weekly, and every-two-months maintenance tasks. It provides specific instructions for cleaning components such as the door gasket, air trap jet, chamber, tray holders, and safety valve. The guide includes necessary cautions regarding electrical safety and steam pressure before performing these tasks.
You must disconnect the electric cord and ensure there is no pressure in the autoclave unless otherwise instructed.
The Air Trap Jet should be cleaned once per week by moving the clean out wire in and out ten times.
It is best to clean the unit while it is running at 20-30 psi, although this step is not mandatory.
You must clean and check the safety valve every two months under ordinary usage.
