About this manual

This reference design shows how to replace a mechanical button with a high‑resolution inductive metal‑touch solution that includes built‑in haptic feedback. The system uses the LDC1614 inductance‑to‑digital converter, DRV2605L or DRV2667 haptic drivers, an HDC1000 temperature/humidity sensor, and an MSP430F5528 MCU, all powered from a USB 5 V source.

The design is housed in an aluminum enclosure (12.5 cm × 5.5 cm × 1.5 cm) with four button locations, and it provides EMI protection, environmental compensation, and support for operation with gloves, underwater, or in harsh conditions. This manual is written in Chinese.
