Installation, wiring, calibration, and operational instructions for the Signet 2551 Blind Magmeter flow sensor.
The Signet 2551 Blind Magmeter is an insertion-style magnetic flow sensor designed for long-term reliability and minimal maintenance. It is available in various corrosion-resistant wetted material combinations, including PP/316 SS, PVDF/Hastelloy-C, and PVDF/Titanium. The device measures flow in pipe sizes ranging from DN15 to DN900 (½ in. to 36 in.) and features empty pipe detection and LED-assisted diagnostics.
| General Pipe size range | DN15 to DN 900 (0.5 in. to 36 in.) |
|---|---|
| Flow Range Minimum | 0.05 m/s (0.15 ft/s) |
| Flow Range Maximum | 10 m/s (33 ft/s) |
| Linearity | ± 1% reading plus 0.01 m/s (0.033 ft/s) |
| Repeatability | ± 0.5% of reading @ 25 °C (77 °F) |
| Min. Conductivity | 20 μS/cm |
| Operating Temperature Ambient | -10 °C to 70 °C (14 °F to 158 °F) |
| Maximum Operating pressure | 10.3 bar @ 25 °C (150 psi @ 77 °F) |
Wetted material combinations include PP/316 SS, PVDF/Hastelloy-C and PVDF/Titanium.
The 4 to 20 mA output requires 21.6 to 26.4 VDC with a maximum current of 22.1 mA.
Users must depressurize and vent the system prior to installation or removal to avoid equipment damage or injury.
