This document is the user manual for the Signet 5700 pH/ORP Monitor, which introduces the product's connection, usage methods, etc.
This manual provides step-by-step instructions for operating and wiring the Signet 5700 pH/ORP Monitor. It covers power connections, electrode and preamp wiring, 4-20mA output, relay configurations, menu navigation, calibration procedures, and troubleshooting. The device supports both pH and ORP measurements with relay control for alarm or pump applications. Calibration is supported via EASY CAL or manual methods using standard pH buffers.
| Power Supply | 12-24 VDC or 12-24 VAC |
|---|---|
| Relay Contact Ratings | 5 A @ 30 VDC, 5 A @ 125 VAC, or 3 A @ 250 VAC |
| 4-20mA Output Loop Impedance | 350 Ω (12V supply), 950 Ω (24V supply) |
| Electrode Calibration Buffers | pH 4.0, 7.0, or 10.0 |
Use a 4-20mA output with maximum loop impedance of 350 Ω at 12V or 950 Ω at 24V. To isolate output and prevent ground loops, use a monitor with isolated inputs or separate DC supplies.
The relay supports Low alarm, High alarm, and Proportional Pulse modes. In Proportional Pulse mode, the relay pulses to control devices like metering pumps based on pH setpoints and pulse rates.
Place the electrode in a pH buffer (4.0, 7.0, or 10.0), allow stabilization, then press the first buffer calibration. For dual-point calibration, repeat with a second buffer.
The maximum pulse rate is 300 pulses per minute, which can be set for proportional pulse mode.
