About this manual

The ADM202 is a 2‑channel RS‑232 line driver/receiver pair designed to operate from a single 5 V power supply. It uses an on‑chip charge pump with 0.1 µF capacitors to generate ±10 V RS‑232 levels and meets TIA/EIA‑232‑E specifications.

The device is available in 16‑lead PDIP and SOIC packages, consumes as little as 2.5 mA typical current, and includes over‑voltage and ESD protection. Absolute maximum ratings allow up to ±30 V on the receiver inputs and a VCC rating of 6 V.
