MitoBeacon™ Red Cell Mitochondria Red Fluorescent Probe
MitoBeacon™ Red is a red fluorescent probe for mitochondria. It has cell membrane permeability and a mild sulfhydryl-active chloromethyl group, which can be used to label mitochondria and remain in the mitochondria after fixation. For mitochondrial labeling, simply incubate the cells with MitoBeacon™ Red. The probe can pass through the cell membrane and accumulate in the mitochondria with active function through passive diffusion. Once the mitochondria are labeled with dyes, the cells can be fixed with aldehyde fixatives and the samples can be used for further processing. Because mitochondria can be stained before the cells are fixed, MitoBeacon™ Red can solve some difficulties in pathogenic cell research.
