The MIC705, MIC706, MIC707 and MIC708 are inexpensive supervisory circuits that monitor power supplies in microprocessor‑based systems. They provide a debounced manual reset input, a watchdog timer (1.6 s for MIC705/706), power‑fail warning, and reset outputs with selectable voltage thresholds of 4.65 V or 4.40 V.
Typical applications include automotive systems, intelligent controllers, battery‑powered computers and any design that requires reliable microprocessor power monitoring. The devices are supplied in an 8‑Pin SOIC package and include pins for manual reset, watchdog input, power‑fail comparator and reset outputs.
| Operating Voltage Range | 1.4 V – 5.5 V |
|---|---|
| Reset Pulse Width | 200 ms |
| Watchdog Timer Timeout | 1.6 s (MIC705/706) |
| Reset Threshold Voltage | 4.65 V (MIC705/707) / 4.40 V (MIC706/708) |
| Power‑Fail Comparator Reference | 1.25 V |
| Package Type | 8‑Pin SOIC |
| /MR Pull‑up Current | 250 µA |
The reset pulse width is 200 ms.
It operates from 1.4 V up to 5.5 V.
The watchdog function can be disabled by floating the WDI pin.
