This document describes the features and characteristics of the AD9874 IF Digitizing Subsystem, including input frequency range, output signal bandwidth, noise figure, input and output levels, etc.
The AD9874 is a general-purpose IF subsystem designed to digitize low-level 10 MHz to 300 MHz IF inputs with a signal bandwidth ranging from 6.8 kHz to 270 kHz. The device integrates a low noise amplifier, a mixer, a band-pass sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter, and a decimation filter with a programmable decimation factor. It also includes an automatic gain control (AGC) circuit, clock and LO synthesizers, and various programmable parameters to optimize performance for different applications.
The subsystem is suitable for multimode narrow-band radio products, analog/digital UHF/VHF FDMA receivers, and portable/mobile radio products. It features a high dynamic range and inherent antialiasing, allowing it to cope with blocking signals up to 95 dB stronger than the desired signal. The device operates with a supply voltage of 2.7 V to 3.6 V and is available in a 48-lead LQFP package.
