This document introduces the Enphase Line Communications Filter (LCF) installation method, LCF is used for large-scale installations, and multiple Envoy Communications GatewayTM are required.
This guide provides instructions for installing the Enphase Line Communications Filter (LCF), a device required for large installations using more than one Envoy Communications Gateway. The LCF filters power line communications to eliminate potential inter-Envoy crosstalk in multi-Envoy installations. It details the necessary installation considerations, such as wire sizing and conduit entry requirements, and emphasizes that installation must be performed by a qualified electrician.
| Maximum continuous current per phase | 100 Amps |
|---|---|
| Supported Microinverters (208 VAC three-phase) | M215-60: 166, M190-72: 189, M210-84: 171 |
| Supported Microinverters (240 VAC single-phase) | M215-60: 111, M190-72: 126, M210-84: 114 |
| Minimum wire size for L1, L2, L3 and neutrals | #2-#2/0 copper wire |
| Minimum wire size for line grounding wire | #8 AWG |
| Ethernet cable type | CAT5E or equivalent |
The installation of the LCF must be done by a qualified electrician.
The LCF must be installed between the utility-side circuit and the array-side circuit protection.
The LCF services a maximum number of Enphase Microinverters at a total continuous current of 100 Amps per phase.
