This document describes how to upgrade from STEVAL-IHP001V2 to STEVAL-IHP001V3. In terms of hardware, both v2 and v3 versions of the smartplug demonstration boards are identical. STEVAL-IHP001V3 differs from the previous v2 version in terms of the ZigBee® PRO stack update. In addition to the ZigBee PRO stack features, this update allows to use STEVAL-IFS013V2 USB-ZigBee dongle as a network coordinator. The document describes in detail the steps to follow in order to move from STEVAL-IHP001V2 to STEVAL-IHP001V3. For further details on the smartplug STEVAL-IHP001V2 demonstration board, please refer to the AN2993 application note.
This document provides a step-by-step guide for upgrading the STEVAL-IHP001V2 smartplug demonstration board to the STEVAL-IHP001V3 version. The hardware remains identical between versions, but the upgrade involves updating the ZigBee PRO stack and the application firmware to enable new network coordinator features using the STEVAL-IFS013V2 USB-ZigBee dongle.
The upgrade procedure consists of three main steps: upgrading the SPZB260 module to SPZB260-PRO, updating the STEVAL-IHP001V2 application firmware, and upgrading the STEVAL-IFS013V2 application firmware. The document includes specific instructions for using JTAG tools and the DfuSe demonstration tool to upload the necessary binary files.
The board must be used only by expert technicians due to high voltage, and a mains insulation transformer is mandatory for any debugging or testing.
The board operates with high voltage ranging from 110 VAC to 220 VAC.
The package includes the ZigBee Stack PRO update, two application firmware binaries, and two coordinator DFU files.
