About this manual

The AD737 is a low power, precision, monolithic, true RMS-to-DC converter designed to compute the RMS value of both AC and DC input voltages. It is laser trimmed to provide a maximum error of +0.2 mV + 0.3% of reading with sine wave inputs and maintains high accuracy for a wide range of input waveforms, including variable duty cycle pulses and triac controlled sine waves.

The device features a high input impedance of 10^17 Ohms and a low input bias current of 25 pA maximum. It operates with a wide power supply range from +2.5 V to +16.5 V and consumes only 160 µA of power supply current. The AD737 is available in two performance grades (AD737J and AD737K) for commercial temperature ranges and an AD737A grade for industrial temperature ranges.
