This document is the user manual of 902 de-Esser
The dbx 902 De-Esser is a professional audio module designed for use in the F9Q00A mainframe or the FS900 miniframe. It utilizes Log-Domain Processing to examine differences in dB between high-frequency and full-bandwidth signal portions, allowing for de-essing of signals that vary in level by up to 60 dB without requiring threshold adjustments. Key features include user-defined crossover frequencies ranging from 800 Hz to 8 kHz, RMS level detection, control voltage inputs and outputs, expanded scale LED metering, and a hard-wired bypass switch.
