About this manual

The TPS203x family of power distribution switches is designed for applications involving heavy capacitive loads and short circuits. These devices are 50-mΩ N-channel MOSFET high-side power switches controlled by a logic enable compatible with 5-V and 3-V logic. An internal charge pump provides gate drive, requiring no external components and allowing operation from supplies as low as 2.7 V.

Frequently asked questions

What is the typical rise time of the switch?

The typical rise time is 6.1 ms.

How does the device handle overcurrent conditions?

It limits the output current to a safe level by switching into a constant-current mode.

What happens when the junction temperature rises too high?

A thermal protection circuit shuts off the switch to prevent damage.
