About this manual

The TPS2041 and TPS2051 are N-channel MOSFET high-side power switches designed for applications with heavy capacitive loads and short circuits. They feature an internal charge pump to minimize current surges and operate from supplies as low as 2.7 V. The devices are available in 8-pin SOIC and PDIP packages.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum input voltage for operation?

The charge pump allows operation from supplies as low as 2.7 V.

How does the device protect against short circuits?

It switches into a constant-current mode and pulls the overcurrent logic output low.

What happens when the junction temperature rises too high?

A thermal protection circuit shuts off the switch until it cools down.
