About this manual

The NCP1050 through NCP1055 are monolithic high voltage regulators designed to enable end product equipment compliance with low standby power requirements. These devices operate directly from a rectified AC line source (85 V to 265 V) and provide output power ranging from 3.0 W to 40 W depending on the input configuration.

The series features an active startup regulator circuit that eliminates the need for an auxiliary bias winding, along with fault detection, programmable timer protection, and a unique gated oscillator configuration for fast loop response. Available in 8-pin dual-in-line and 4-pin SOT-223 packages, they include on-chip power switch circuits rated up to 700 V.
