This file is the instruction manual of HANNA HI 9143, HI 9145 portable dissolved oxygen meter. It mainly introduces the function features, usage methods, maintenance and maintenance of the instrument.
This document provides instructions for the Hanna Instruments HI 9143 and HI 9145 portable dissolved oxygen (D.O.) meters. These water-resistant instruments are designed for harsh outdoor applications such as wastewater treatment and fish farming. They feature automatic calibration in air, temperature compensation, and optional altitude and salinity compensation depending on the model.

Soak the bottom of the probe in HI 7041S electrolyte solution for 5 minutes, rinse the membrane with some electrolyte, and screw the cap clockwise.
Ensure the probe is ready, switch the meter on until 'COND' disappears, then press the CAL button to standardize to 100% saturation.
A water movement of at least 30 cm (12") per second is required to ensure oxygen depleted on the membrane surface is replenished.
The HI 9143 model supplies the user with compensation of salinity and altitude factors, while the HI 9145 does not.
